For anyone in the Las Vegas or Reno areas tomorrow, the Entertainment Law Section of the State Bar of Nevada is proud to present a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Course on Sports Law entitled “The Intersection of Entertainment and Sports”. The 1.5 hour seminar will focus on talent, content, broadcast and intellectual property issues, and most importantly LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!*

The speakers for the CLE include Hunter Campbell, Executive VP and General Counsel at UFC; Seth Krauss, Chief Legal Officer at William Morris Endeavor; Steven Pacitti of Steven Pacciti, Esq., LL.M. and Of Counsel at Feldmann Nagel, LLC; and former NFL running back Steven Jackson. On a side note, as readers of my blog know I am a die hard Braves and Falcons fan so I am particularly excited that Steven Jackson will be at this CLE discussing the intersection of sports and the law as he spent several years with the Atlanta Falcons. (see picture below)

Steven Jackson
Former NFL running back Steven Jackson is a 3x Pro Bowler who holds the Rams franchise record for most rushing yards. He also played for the Falcons and another team whose name shall never be mentioned on this blog.

The CLE will be from noon-1:30 p.m. at the offices of the State Bar of Nevada, located at 3100 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89102. It will also be simulcast to Northern Nevada Bar Center in Reno.

Sign up is available here. The cost for the CLE is $40 for Entertainment Law Section Members, $50 for non-members, and $30 for non-attorney/student/professor/paralegals. If you would like to sign up to be a member of the Entertainment Section of the State Bar of Nevada you may do so here. Attorney participants will receive 1.5 CLE credit hours. I hope to see you all there!

*Lunch will be provided, of course, to all participants who have paid to attend the CLE. So, technically, it’s not a “free lunch”….
